TechColumbus Campus Entrepreneurial Mixer

On the first Thursday of each month, TechColumbus hosts an entrepreneurial mixer in the TechColumbus Incubator. For our June meeting, a typical crowd of 75 to 100 attended. The highlight was Jim Mazotas, Founder and CEO, PlannetGroup LLC telling the story of the recently announced sale of Plannet to Dublin, Ohio based CareWorks (see news story at http://www.plannetgroup.com/home.html). Plannet is a 2008 graduate of the TechColumbus incubator. The take away: it takes a long time and great team effort to grow a successful business, and the sale process is not easy.
We also heard from Mark Shary, CEO of UpDox (http://www.updox.com). Mark, a serial entrepreneur, is founder/former CEO of Hublink and chief strategy officer for Healthcare.com. The technology pioneered by Hublink and its successor, Healthcare.com continues to be one of the most widely used and mission critical applications in healthcare. UpDox helps medical practitioners and healthcare offices get work done faster, more efficiently, and with fewer steps. It also enables practitioners to track instructions for others to completion, communicate securely and flexibly with office staff, patients, and other providers and collaborate on documents and images with other providers.
Next was ClearSaleing’s Chief Marketing Officer (www.clearsaleing.com).
